15th April 2018
I’ve added lots of dates for appearances for King Lear in Brooklyn and Chekhov in Siberia. Several are to be fully confirmed but click here for the dates to put in your diaries. There is also a full version of Sweet William in Canterbury on the 31st October.
16th February 2018
Michael will be performing Chekhov in Siberia at the Oxford Literary Festival on the 25th March at 2.pm. Full details can be found on www.oxfordliteraryfestival.org
11th February 2018
Sadly John Barton passed away last month and I’ve added an article written by Gregory Doran for the Stratford-upon-Avon Herald and some memories from Michael.
I came across a book that was published last year entitled Shakespeare on Stage Vol 2 by Julian Curry in which, amongst 11 other actors, he talks to Michael about Timon of Athens.
15th January 2018
Fanny and Alexander is being played at The Old Vic from the 21st February to the 14th April 2018. It’s been adapted from Ingmar Bergman’s book and screenplay and Michael will play Isak Jacobi and Death opposite Penelope Wilton who plays Mrs Helena Ekdahl. Click on the above Old Vic link for details and tickets.
As well as the above he has several appearances lined up over the next few months.
They are entitled King Lear in Brooklyn and Chekhov in Siberia.
The former consists of readings from the book, plus a signing and Q & A;
The latter is not the full length Chekhov show but an hour’s dramatised reading of Chekhov’s travels in Siberia - which was originally a radio production which Michael has now adapted for the stage.
